Partner Earns Third IAPP Designation

The CIPP, CIPM, and CIPT designations are the most coveted privacy certifications available for data protection and information security professionals around the world.

Thomas & LoCicero PL is pleased to announce that Susan Tillotson Bunch, a partner practicing in its Tampa office has earned the Certified Information Privacy Technologist, “CIPT,” certification by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, “IAPP”. The CIPT designation demonstrates an understanding of critical privacy concepts and practices that impact Information Technology (IT), consumer privacy expectations and IT responsibilities.

The “CIPT” certification also reflects expertise and knowledge in methods for “baking” privacy into the early stages of IT products and services, establishing best privacy practices for data collection and transfer, anticipating and preempting risks in the Internet of Things, and factoring privacy into data classification and emerging areas such as cloud computing, facial recognition and other biometrics in surveillance and marketing.

Ms. Bunch previously earned Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States, “CIPP/US”, and Certified Information Privacy Management, “CIPM”, certifications from the IAPP. The IAPP’s certifications are accredited by the American National Standards Institute.
