Jon Philipson Named Mentor of the Year
Thomas & LoCicero Partner Jon M. Philipson was named Mentor of the Year by the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association at its Annual Luncheon.
Each year, the Tampa Bay Chapter recognizes a select few of its members for distinction. Mr. Philipson was nominated by his mentee.
This is the second year in a row Mr. Philipson has been named Mentor of the Year.
When describing his mentoring experience, he said, “I always enjoy my talks with Elliot. The time flies by, and I learn more from Elliot than anything I can pass along to him from my experiences. That is what I love about the FBA Mentoring Program. It provides a great avenue to share experiences and promote empathy and camaraderie within our federal bar. “
Mr. Philipson is a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated attorney and has been recognized by numerous publications, including Best Lawyers in America. His practice focuses on business litigation and counseling and defamation defense. Mr. Philipson also regularly serves as local counsel for out-of-state businesses sued or pursuing claims in all federal courts in Florida.
Mr. Philipson also is a court-certified arbitrator for Florida’s Thirteenth, Twelfth, and Sixth Judicial Circuits and a Florida Supreme Court certified circuit civil mediator and a U.S. District Court for Middle District of Florida certified mediator.
