Jon Philipson Joins Thomas & LoCicero

Thomas & LoCicero is excited to welcome to the firm Jon Philipson, a former federal law clerk and former editor in chief of the Florida Law Review.

“We are thrilled to have Jon joining us as a senior associate,” said firm President Carol LoCicero. “He brings strong litigation experience and superb academic credentials. He will immediately be able to bring valuable skills to our busy litigation practice.”

Jon Philipson Jon comes to Thomas & LoCicero after almost five years as a litigator in the Tampa office of Carlton Fields. He was previously a law clerk for Middle District of Florida Chief Judge Anne Conway. Jon graduated first in his class from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2011. He is a member of the University of Florida Hall of Fame and of Florida Blue Key. Prior to law school, Jon served as an aide to U.S. Congressman Jim Davis and a press intern to U.S. Senator Patty Murray. Jon graduated from Washington and Lee University fifth in his class in 2006 and was a Rhodes Scholar finalist.

Jon is married to Dr. Lesley Rudolph Philipson of South Tampa Pediatric Dentistry and lives in Tampa.

With the addition of Jon, more than half of Thomas & LoCicero’s lawyers are former federal law clerks. From offices in Tampa and South Florida, the firm focuses its practice on media law, intellectual property, commercial litigation and emerging technology law.
