Mr. Philipson is a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated attorney, who recently was named one of the Top Lawyers in Commercial Litigation & Transactions/UCC Law by Tampa Magazine and is consistently named a Florida Super Lawyer Rising Star. He was previously a law clerk for Middle District of Florida Chief Judge Anne Conway. Mr. Philipson graduated first in his class from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2011. He is a member of the University of Florida Hall of Fame and of Florida Blue Key. Prior to law school, Mr. Philipson served as an aide to U.S. Congressman Jim Davis and a press intern to U.S. Senator Patty Murray. He graduated from Washington and Lee University fifth in his class in 2006 and was a Rhodes Scholar finalist.
Mr. Philipson represents and advises clients in business litigation matters, as well as, defamation, First Amendment, antitrust, and intellectual property disputes. Mr. Philipson has assisted clients in a wide range of industries and areas, including traditional business contract disputes, higher education matters, shopping center development disputes, multimillion-dollar insurance coverage disputes, Florida derivative suits, and product labeling class actions. He regularly serves as local counsel for out-of-state businesses sued or pursuing claims in all federal courts in Florida.
From offices in Tampa and South Florida, the firm focuses its practice on commercial litigation, media & entertainment law, intellectual property, and emerging technology law.
