Jon M. Philipson Awarded the Charles Adler Young Leadership Award

Octobe 20, 2023 (Tampa, FL)—Thomas & LoCicero Partner Jon M. Philipson was awarded the Charles Adler Young Leadership Award by the Tampa Jewish Community Centers and Federation at The Sue and Jeff Schoenbaum Annual Community Leadership Awards held on October 19, 2023.
Each year, the Tampa JCCs and Federation and other local Jewish community agencies recognize and honor those who have made a significant impact in the Jewish community. As described by the Tampa JCCs and Federation, “We celebrate those most committed to improving our Tampa Jewish community. Each award is named after a beloved community member that embodies the principles of dedicated leadership, tikkun olam and commitment to enriching the continuity of Jewish life locally and worldwide.”
Mr. Philipson received the award named after Mr. Charles Adler, who was affectionally known as “Mr. Jewish Tampa.” Mr. Adler served twice as Tampa Federation president and twice as president of Schaarai Zedek.
When describing this honor, Mr. Philipson said, “It is an honor to celebrate Mr. Adler’s legacy to the Tampa community. I feel fortunate to be a part of such an impactful community and to work to ensure its continued voice in the greater Tampa community.”
Mr. Philipson is a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated attorney and has been recognized by numerous publications, including Best Lawyers in America. His practice focuses on business litigation and counseling and defamation defense. Mr. Philipson also regularly serves as local counsel for out-of-state businesses sued or pursuing claims in all federal courts in Florida.
Mr. Philipson also is a court-certified arbitrator for Florida’s Thirteenth, Twelfth, and Sixth Judicial Circuits and a Florida Supreme Court certified circuit civil mediator and a U.S. District Court for Middle District of Florida certified mediator.
